When it comes to roofs or gardens it is best to ensure that a good condition is mantained. A leaking roof will promote rot and mould which will make a future repair more costly. Likewise, a neglected garden presents a much greater challenge. However, fear not, for Dollar Roofing & Landscaping is ready to take on the challenge. Here is a selection projects that illustrate the scope of our services that our intrepid team are able to provide.

Slate Roof

Recently the roof of this property was nearing the end of its useful life. After over a hundred years weathering scottish storms it was about time to invest in renewing the slates. The slates had become brittle and broken in places, allowing rainwater to drip through the roof. The old slates were quickly removed allowing us to inspect the structure underneath and begin with the new roof. Using a Rubbershield sheet we added an additional layer of defense against leaks. Next came the slatework. As agreed with the owner we also added a decorative diamond pattern. This way the roof will not only be waterproof for a centuary to come but also look great.

Tiled Roof

A competitive roofing option is terracotta tiles. In this project, in keeping with the rest of the roof, this is what the owner elected to use.

Felt Roof

In comparison to other material choices, roofing felt is inexpensive and quick to install. Also an ideal option for flat roofs. However, it is significantly less durable than more traditional approaches. In this case the felt had degraded and developed cracks compromising the waterproofing of the porch roof. This unsightly mess was soon remedied giving the customer peace of mind.

What difference a days work can make!

Patio

A key feature of our plethora of landscaping and gardening services is paving. In this example we layed a small but attrative patio leading to the backdoor. What sets this paving apart is the contrast between the straight lines of the grouting and the sweeping flow of the border. A neat way of making the transistion from the organic form of the garden to the structured and rigid shape of the house.

Hedge Trimming

This Hedge was in need of a trim and what an improvement it made!

Lawn Laying

On this occasion the proprietor opted to revamp his backgarden with a new lawn. To make mantainance easy the customer selected an astroturf. Artifical grass saves on watering, cutting and fertilising — although we do also offer these services.

Fencing

We installed a beautiful fence with matching gate in Dollar. This involved first removing the old fence and shrubbery.
